SMD LED screen rental Dubai is one of the first things exhibitors book for GITEX Global 2026, because your stand will be competing with thousands of others for the same visitors. A good screen is often what makes someone stop walking. This guide covers what to choose, what a rental usually includes, and when to book.
GITEX Global runs from 7 to 11 December 2026. The Scale Summit is on 7 December, and the main exhibition follows from 8 to 11 December at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, the first year the show has been held there. Organisers expect more than 200,000 visitors and around 6,800 exhibiting companies. With numbers like that, LED equipment and crews get booked up early.
Why LED works better than projectors or LCD walls on a show floor
Exhibition halls are bright and loud. A projector loses contrast under hall lighting, and it needs a dark surface and clear space that most stands don’t have. LED panels make their own light, so the picture holds up under any hall lighting.
LCD video walls have a second problem: the frames between screens show up as lines across your content. LED cabinets join edge to edge, and you can build the screen to the size and shape your stand needs, whether that’s a wide back wall, a tall column, or a curved feature.
Indoor or outdoor SMD LED screens?
Most exhibitors at a hall show need indoor screens. They’re built for close viewing and sit at a brightness that’s comfortable indoors.
Outdoor screens are much brighter and weatherproofed, which suits product launches, forecourts, and brand activations in open air. If your GITEX plans include a side event outside the halls, you may need both. We supply indoor and outdoor SMD and LED screens for exhibitions, corporate events, and large productions.
How to choose pixel pitch and screen size
Pixel pitch is the distance between two pixels, measured in millimetres. A smaller pitch gives a sharper image up close and costs more. A rough rule of thumb is that the minimum comfortable viewing distance in metres is about the same as the pitch in millimetres, so a 3.9 mm screen looks best from around 4 metres or further. Measure from where visitors will actually stand, usually the aisle edge, not from the stand’s centre.
Screen size depends on your stand layout. A big wall looks impressive, but it also takes space from products and people. Decide what the screen has to do first: show a product video, display live social feeds, or feed a presenter’s camera to the whole stand. Then size it around that.
A few other points people forget:
- Content resolution. Ask for the screen’s exact pixel dimensions and build your video at that size. Stretched content looks soft, however good the screen is.
- Brightness. Indoors, a screen that’s too bright is tiring to look at and washes out on camera.
- Refresh rate. If the screen will appear on video or a live stream, a low refresh rate can cause flicker on camera.
What SMD LED screen rental Dubai packages usually include
A rental is more than the panels. A typical package covers:
- The LED cabinets themselves
- A structure to hold them, such as a truss, ground stack, or wall mount
- A video processor and the cabling
- Power distribution
- A media player or playback system for your content
- A technician for installation and, if needed, during show hours
Always ask what’s included and what isn’t. Some things depend on the venue rather than the rental company: stand height limits, rigging rules, and power supply at your stand. The organiser’s exhibitor manual sets these, so read it before you finalise a design.
Adding live streaming to your stand
Plenty of exhibitors now run talks, demos, or product launches at the stand and want them seen beyond the hall. That means cameras, a switcher, an encoder, and reliable internet. The same camera feed can also go up on your LED screen for the crowd on the floor.
For our broadcast and streaming services in Dubai, we build backup into every project: dual encoders, backup internet connections, and a streaming technician who monitors the feed throughout the programme. Setups range from a two-camera talking-head shot to a six-camera multi-set production, so the size of the job should match the size of your stand and budget.
Why one-stop event production saves time
If the LED screen comes from one company, the sound from another, and the streaming from a third, someone has to coordinate all of them. When something fails on show day, everyone points at someone else.
With one-stop event production in Dubai, LED, audio, lighting, staging, and streaming sit under one schedule and one point of contact. Our production managers, lighting designers, audio engineers, and AV operators are full-time employees, not day-rate freelancers hired the week before. We also keep a Dubai warehouse and a standing crew, which lets us mobilise equipment for urgent events within 48 to 72 hours.
If you need the audio and lighting side too, see our AV solutions in Dubai.
When to book, and what to have ready
For smaller corporate events and LED screen rentals, we usually need 5 to 10 business days, subject to availability. Exhibition weeks are different. Demand for screens, crews, and technicians rises for everyone, so book once your stand is confirmed rather than close to the show.
Before you ask for a quote, have these ready:
- Stand size and position in the hall
- Where visitors will stand when they look at the screen
- Your content format and the video files you plan to play
- Power availability at the stand
- The organiser’s install and dismantle windows
- Whether you need live streaming or an on-site technician
Beyond GITEX
The same checklist applies at other Dubai shows. Automechanika Dubai is listed for 10 to 12 November and Big 5 Global for 23 to 26 November, both at Dubai venues. We also work across Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, and the other Emirates.
Frequently asked questions
How much does SMD LED screen rental cost in Dubai?
The price depends on screen size, pixel pitch, the number of rental days, and what the setup includes, such as structure, technician, and content playback. The fastest way to get a real figure is to send your stand size and dates and ask for a quote.
Which pixel pitch is best for an exhibition stand?
It depends on where visitors stand. If people will be close to the screen, a smaller pixel pitch gives a sharper picture. If the screen is mainly seen from further down the aisle, a larger pitch works well and usually costs less.
Can I get LED screens and live streaming from the same company?
Yes. Screens, cameras, streaming, and technicians can be arranged together, so you deal with one schedule and one point of contact instead of several vendors.
How early should I book LED screen rental for GITEX 2026?
As soon as your stand is confirmed. Demand for screens and crews rises during exhibition weeks, and availability can run out. For smaller corporate events and LED rentals, we usually need 5 to 10 business days, subject to availability.
Do you provide a technician during the event?
Yes, an on-site technician can be arranged as part of the rental. Tell us your show hours when you request a quote.
Do you rent LED screens outside Dubai?
Yes. We serve clients across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ajman.
